MARS is an exciting trip to the red planet- deep into canyons where water once flowed, high above volcanoes, and turning around polar ice caps. Join in the latest discoveries from a new generation of Mars spacecraft. Examine the science -- and science fiction -- surrounding Mars and the quest to find water, and perhaps even life.

The Appold Planetarium features SciDome, a single projector fulldome video system powered by Starry Night that allows real-time 3D sky simulation, fulldome shows and multi-media presentations. Starry Night is the world’s most comprehensive astronomy software. Its starfield quality allows astronomical detail and teaching capabilities that surpass any other digital planetarium system available.

Take a virtual trip to our closest neighbor in space with Field Trip to the Moon! Experience a thrilling NASA rocket launch, and orbit the Earth to get an astronaut's view of a sunrise in space.  Field Trip to the Moon is a virtual journey created using NASA engineering models and scientific data. Like NASA's astronauts, you will come face-to-face with the challenges and excitement of traveling through space to land on the Moon.
