Life Lab
Resources for Youth
Explore wildlife habits and habitats in the Lourdes College Life Lab, an interactive plant and animal learning laboratory with room for up to 30 students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. Inside the laboratory, students will encounter exotic birds, fresh and saltwater fish, frogs, turtles, and butterflies as they learn about the ecosystems in which they live. With a host of other woodland creatures living just outside its windows, Life Lab classes often take to the outdoors to observe the life-cycles of animals in their natural habitat.
Field classes can be scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the school year.
Recommended times: 9 - 11:45 a.m. or 12 - 2:45 p.m.
*Some time adjustments can be made to fit classroom schedules.

Resources for Pre-Education Majors
The Life Lab provides the perfect setting for natural and environmental resource education in the spirit of St. Francis, offering science education instruction, activities, and materials for pre-service education majors. The staff also works to foster value-based environmental awareness in children and adults with community outreach activities such as Summer Science Camp.
