The Lourdes University Teacher Education Initial and Advanced Licensure Programs in the College of Social Sciences are accredited under the CAEP Accreditation System for the 7-year period from fall 2022 to fall 2029.

1. Impact on P-12 Learning and Development
The data provided displays the completer impact in contributing to P-12 student-learning growth AND (b) completer effectiveness in applying professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions.
The OTES report displays the last three years of collected data from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
The OPES report displays only the 2021-22 school year data collected from the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Responses were not received from graduates in the other two years in the last three-year cycle.
As both contain limited information, the value-added report from the Ohio Department of Higher Education is also provided for both Teachers and Principals who graduated from Lourdes University in the past three years.

The data provided displays data used to determine if candidates are meeting program expectations and ready to be recommended for licensure.
As yearly data requires an ‘n’ of 10 to provide data from the Ohio Department of Higher Education MRS system, we provided both the 2023-24 school year data as well as a 3-year report to meet the required n for data to be analyzed.
For initial programs, we provided OAE results 2023-24 as well as OAE results 2021-2024.
For advanced programs, we provided OAE admin results 2023-24 as well as OEA results 2021-24.

Lourdes University is engaged in a partnership with Tiffin University to provide undergraduate programs in Middle Childhood and Adolescence to Young Adult, conveniently located on Tiffin’s campus. Additionally, Lourdes University offers a Master of Special Education program, also hosted at Tiffin University. This enduring partnership provides Tiffin University students the opportunity to enroll in education classes taught by Lourdes University faculty. Tiffin students benefit from the expertise of both Tiffin University’s subject matter specialists and Lourdes University’s accomplished education professors. This partnership is celebrated as it works to address the need for more high-quality teachers in classrooms across the nation.

Gray Wolf Express Dual Admission Program
In partnership with Owens Community College, the Gray Wolf Express Dual Admission Program provides every student the opportunity to complete a baccalaureate degree.
GRAY WOLF EXPRESS PROGRAM ADVANTAGES
- Easy transition to Lourdes. Transcripts will be accessible by both institutions. Both schools will work alongside you every step of the way, ensuring your Owens courses apply toward your bachelor’s degree.
- Save money on tuition and fees by starting your academic career with Owens.
- Take advantage of expanded general education offerings with flexible Owens day and nighttime classes.
Once enrolled in the program, attend Owens to earn your Associate Degree. Lourdes will review you for admission after you have completed your first semester.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Students who plan to complete their bachelor’s degree at Lourdes University are encouraged to participate in the program. Previous or current Lourdes students taking a few classes at Owens as visiting students are not eligible for this program.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
New Students
- Complete the Owens application for admission and indicate Lourdes University as your desired university to complete a baccalaureate degree. **If you did not indicate that you wished to participate in the program when you completed your Owens application, follow the steps for “Current Students.”**
Current Students
- If you are a current Owens student, and wish to opt into the program, please complete the “Gray Wolf Express” form. It can be found in your Ozone account under the Transfer Express Programs card. You may have to click the “Discover More” button and enter the title in the search bar.
- You may submit the completed form to the Student Service Center, email it to transcripts@owens.edu, or mail it to: Owens State Community College, Records Office, PO Box 10,000, Toledo, OH, 43699.

Professional Development for Educators
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Lourdes University offers educators quality professional development opportunities. Professional Development Courses (EDU 500 level) are graduate classes and can be used for re licensure (Ohio), certification renewal or upgrade (Michigan), and additional endorsements. These courses are scheduled throughout the year and are generally held on the Lourdes University campus in Sylvania or in schools.
Participants desiring graduate credit must possess a valid or expired teaching license or certificate and provide documentation of an appropriate baccalaureate degree. Participants interested in using 500-level courses for Lourdes University degree programs or transferring the credits to programs at other institutions should obtain approval from Lourdes University or the institution to which the credit will be transferred in advance of registration.
SCHOOL PARTNERS
Lourdes University Education Department offers professional development to school districts, individual buildings, or departments to support district goals in the area of professional development. Our faculty and staff will design professional development to meet the needs of your faculty. Lourdes University believes that effective professional development should take place over a period of time to allow teachers the opportunity to apply their learning in the classroom and have time to assess and reflect on the effectiveness of the professional development in regards to student learning within the professional development experience. Education Department faculty and staff are currently working with the Sylvania, Perrysburg, and Swanton Public School districts and St. Joseph Catholic School in Sylvania on comprehensive initiatives in the areas of 1:1 mobile device integration into instructional practice and reciprocal teaching strategies in classrooms to support reading comprehension.
COMMUNITY PARTNER
Lourdes University also offers Professional Development in conjunction with community partners such as WGTE, NWOCA, The Toledo Museum of Art and the Community Resources Workshop. These courses are scheduled throughout the year and are held on the Lourdes University campus in Sylvania and alternate locations.

TEACHING CHANNEL WITH LEARNER’S EDGE
Lourdes University partners with Teaching Channel with Learners Edge in extending graduate credit in association with distance learning (print-based and online) courses. Designed to meet the needs of professional educators, these courses fulfill requirements for license renewal. These course credits will be part of your Lourdes University transcript and may be transferred to another institution.
Educators can choose from over 90 different offerings that are relevant for today’s classroom teachers that are offered in a self-paced format.
