Summer Outreach Reflection: Day 2

Today was the first day that our group was split into two smaller sections and had the opportunity to experience two very different service locations. My group took a trip downtown and served at the Prince of Peace Chapel in their Bridge Ministry program. In the Bridge program, volunteers work with the lead pastor to bring comfort and community to people who may be experiencing homelessness or other tough situations. Rain and Hail Don't Keep Us From Working, Eating BBQ and Having Fun

Well, day three went a little different than the previous days, which consisted of site construction and running back and forth to get work done efficiently. Today due to the weather conditions – raining overnight and into early morning – we could not go to the construction site. Instead, we were all distributed between the Habitat Office and the Habitat ReStore to help out where needed.
