Last day in Firenze! We visited the Pitti Palace of the Medici. Ironically, the throne room also included Christ on His throne, quite a statement of affinity. We walked through more than 50 some rooms stuffed floor to ceiling with Rubens, Titians, Tintorettos, and painted ceilings.

Today has been my favorite so far. We had mass this morning at the Basilica of St. Clare. We had mass in the crypt underneath the church where St Clare's body is.

When some of the pilgrims were using their reposito (afternoon siesta) for it's intended purpose, we chose to go hiking and exploring. First we chose to hike uphill to see San Rufino church. It was beautiful and holds the font where both St. Clare and St. Francis were baptized.

Assisi is beautiful! We are all loving Assisi! You see God's beauty everywhere and you feel the peace and love all over. We celebrated New Year in Assisi and we really enjoyed our time at the square!
