CPS Fingerprinting Services

Criminal background checks may be required for students in certain academic programs for their internships or clinical work and for professionals within the Lourdes Community. This service is provided by the Center for Professional Studies through National WebCheck.

Background checks are done by electronically scanning your fingerprints, which are then sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation. An electronic report is returned to the CPS and forwarded to the department or organization requesting the background check. Reports are typically received and forwarded within a week. However, there are times when reports are mailed to the CPS, which can take several weeks.

If scanning does not work…

A small number of people cannot successfully have their fingerprints electronically scanned. They must contact their local police or sheriff department to have their prints taken through a traditional ink-rolled process and have the results sent to the requesting department or organization.

Fingerprinting Costs

$30.00 BCI
$55.00 BCI & FBI

*Michigan residents are typically required to have both BCI & FBI.

A government issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) is required for services.
Payment can be made through cash or check—no credit/debit cards.
