Accounting & Finance
The Lourdes accounting and finance program provides students the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed within the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Students majoring in this field gain a broad foundational base in accounting and finance. In turn, our graduates provide relevant financial information as well as interpret financial data that supports informed business decisions. Finance is the strategy, controlling, and decision-making of the information provided through accounting.
The Joseph M. Magliochetti Endowed Chair of Business & Finance, named in honor of a well-respected leader—former CEO of Dana Corporation Joseph M. Magliochetti—anchors this major and supports the values-centered education to our students. This generous commitment allows Lourdes to enhance our Accounting & Finance major, bringing the best technology as well as leading scholars to campus in order to prepare students for success in the 21st century.
Our students have gained professional accounting and finance experience with the following College of Business & Leadership's internship partners: Directions Federal Credit Union; Mass Mutual; Northwestern Mutual; Parker Certified Public Accountants
