Graduate Assistantships, Scholarships and Housing for the MBA Program
Admission to the Lourdes Full-Time MBA Program is "need-blind." That means that your personal resources for financing your education are not considered in our admission decisions. Through the generosity of corporate, individual, alumni, and foundation donors, Lourdes University is able to provide partial tuition awards for exceptional full-time MBA students. We offer:
- Graduate assistantships
- Tuition scholarships
- Graduate housing
Graduate Assistantships for the MBA Program
Lourdes University Graduate Assistantships, which offer more than financial assistance, are structured to foster long-term career mentoring relationships with the College of Business & Leadership faculty, alumni, and corporate leaders. The MBA Program awards graduate assistantships that include a stipend for working for approximately 10 hours per week during the 2014–2015 academic year. MBA graduate assistantships include actively participating in the full-time MBA program and a work assignment such as:
- collaborating with College of Business and Leadership faculty and staff in preparing for International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accreditation
- serving as a Resource Specialist for undergraduate business students in the Lourdes University Center for Professional Studies
- working on resource development for the College of Business and Leadership.
Tuition Scholarships for the MBA Program
Tuition scholarships for the MBA program are merit-based. Merit-based tuition scholarships are purely financial awards made by Lourdes University to help exceptional students meet their educational expenses. Only the full-time MBA program competitively awards tuition scholarships for up to half of the tuition for the entire program. When making award decisions for tuition scholarships, the Graduate School reviews the initial application materials previously submitted by students accepted into the Full-Time MBA Program and assesses each candidate's overall qualities, including his or her academic profile, intended concentration, strength of overall admissions application, evaluations provided by application readers, quality of interview, and competitiveness.
Graduate Housing for the MBA Program
In support of attracting talented, diverse candidates who have demonstrated outstanding leadership as well as academic and extracurricular achievements from around the world, Lourdes University provides graduate housing support.
Like our admissions decisions, all award decisions for graduate housing are made by the Admissions Committee using a comprehensive approach that takes into account a variety of personal criteria, including educational achievement; life experiences; personal interests; location of residence; student's goals and background as indicated in the application for admission; and veteran status. All graduate housing awards will be made on a rolling basis, beginning April 1, 2014. Priority is given to all students who apply for graduate housing assistance by March 1, 2014.
In addition to graduate assistantships, tuition scholarships and graduate housing, there are many more benefits of an MBA program from Lourdes University. Contact us today to learn more.
