Preparing competent, caring, qualified educators -- individuals who make a positive difference in our world
Do you already have a teaching license? You can add an endorsement to enhance your career opportunities.
Lourdes offers a nine-credit, three course certificate program at the 500 level that qualifies the educator who holds the State of Ohio Pre-K3 Early Childhood License and who earns a score of 143 on the Praxis II Test: Elementary Education Content (10014) to receive an Elementary Generalist Grades 4-5 endorsement.
The P-12 Reading strand is designed for teachers wishing to become more expert in the teaching of reading both in classroom and resource settings. Graduates must pass the Introduction to the Teaching of Reading Praxis II Specialty Test to be eligible for a P-12 Reading Endorsement.
The Teacher Leader Endorsement is designed for teachers who have a master's degree and at least four years of successful teaching experience and want to develop as leaders in the teaching profession. At Lourdes University, the Teacher Leader Endorsement program comprises 9 semester hours of graduate credit. The Endorsement is valid for mentoring and coaching teachers, providing staff development, and assisting the building principal in developing and supporting a shared vision and shared goals for the school.
