Call for Abstracts

Deadline: Friday, October 4, 2013

This Lourdes University/Mercy College of Ohio Conference will include curricular designs and teaching strategies that will focus on concept-based education as well as innovation in classroom and clinical teaching.

Abstracts should fit one of the following categories

  1. Curriculum Design including Concept-Based Curriculum topics
  2. Flipping the Classroom or Clinical Areas
  3. Innovative uses for Technology in the Classroom or Clinical Areas
  4. QSEN Infusion into Curriculum
  5. Innovative Teaching-Learning Strategies

Additional requirements

  • Abstracts should include one of the above mentioned categories
  • Research Studies: Title; background or objectives; methods; results; conclusions
  • Curriculum or Innovative Strategies: Title; background; strategies; outcomes
  • Oral presentations will be 20 minutes with a 5 minute window for questions


  1. In order to provide more character space for your abstract, only the abstract title and abstract body will count toward our overall space allotment. Abstracts in English, maximum of 350 words.
  2. List authors' names, credentials, titles, institutions, cities, and states
  3. All abstracts must be blinded. *Author names, contract information and affiliations will not be included in the material sent to reviewers.
  4. When submitting your abstract, please remember to complete the Biographical Information Form and Objectives Form
  5. Acceptance notification will occur on or before October 11, 2013 via email
