Nursing: Faculty & Staff

Exceptional professionals and instructors who challenge each student to reach his or her potential

Faculty and Staff

Lynne Zajac, Ph.D, MSN, RN, NP-C

Associate Professor, Nursing

"My practice experience encompasses a variety of settings including acute care and public health nursing. I have been involved in teaching nursing for over 20 years including clinical and classroom education at the Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree levels; currently I am teaching in the MSN program at Lourdes. I anticipate completion of a PhD in Nursing Education by December 2010. Teaching nursing students is a joy and a privilege. As an educator, it is my responsibility to tap into a student’s uniqueness, instill positive self-esteem, and facilitate the process of learning. I am privileged to be with students to guide them as they make a difference in the health of someone’s life. A favorite quote by Peter Beidler (2002) is “I teach because, being around people who are beginning to breathe, I occasionally find myself, quite magically, catching my breath with them."
