An important aspect of university life is communicating with students, faculty and staff.
MyPlace Portal
Every student has access to the MyPlace portal and receives a University email account, which is used regularly by the staff and faculty to correspond with them. The Go to My Place Student Portal (image) button is accessible from www.lourdes.edu and offers students access to their email, course schedules, syllabi and the Sakai E-Learning program.
Login to MyPlace Portal
Student Email Account
Students’ email accounts are available within 24 hours of registering for classes. Lourdes University’s student email system offers each student a 10 GB free lifetime email account and provides a 25 GB online storage solution.
The easiest way for a student to access his or her email account is to use the Lourdes MyPlace Portal. This single sign-on source allows students to access their student e-mail, receive campus announcements, check their Web for Students, and access the Sakai E-Learning program which will be required in many of their classes.
The email account is also used by faculty to contact students concerning assignments and class updates as well as by various offices on campus that need to deliver pertinent information in a timely manner. Students should always use their Lourdes email account to correspond with faculty. Emails that are sent from AOL, Yahoo or Hotmail accounts often get detected as SPAM and may not be delivered.
AtLourdes Magazine
One important communication piece at Lourdes is the AtLourdes magazine which is available in the “News & Events” section on the Lourdes.edu website. Students can learn the latest updates, meet Lourdes students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends, and celebrate their accomplishments.
