Educating Children On the Importance Of Science

Imagination Station

Through a Grow & Learn partnership, Lourdes University faculty and Department of Education students helped Imagination Station expand their pre-K offerings by hosting nine unique workshops and assisting with Little Scientists Week. Students developed and facilitated activities focusing specifically on health and the body aimed at children ages 2-6 and their parents.

The workshops included Seasons; Weather Wonders; Your 5 Senses; Actions & Motions (Friction & Inertia); and I Can Do It! (Fine Motor Skills).

“Like Lourdes, Imagination Station is one of our region’s treasures. It’s a fun space for all ages and more importantly, it promotes a love of learning using an interactive environment,” says Assistant Professor of Education Christine Knaggs, Ph.D.
