2013-14 Scholarships for New Freshman Undergraduates

Scholarships can come from a variety of different resources, and do not need to be repaid.

A new freshman student is defined as a student who has not yet attended college and received credit as a regular undergraduate student.

(not available for summer semesters)

Presidential Scholarship

Award:

• $7,000 per year, renewable with 3.0 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Full-time New Undergraduate Student
• Bachelor Degree seeking only
• 3.5 – 4.0 High School GPA (Final)
• Sylvania campus students only
• Completed FAFSA process recommended

Dean’s Scholarship

Award:

• $4,000 per year, renewable with 2.75 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Full-time New Undergraduate Student
• Bachelor degree seeking, 3.0 – 3.49 High School GPA (Final)
• Associate degree seeking, 3.0 – 4.00 High School GPA (Final)
• Sylvania campus students only
• Completed FAFSA process recommended

Faculty Scholarship

Award:

• $2,500 per year, renewable with 2.5 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Full-time New Undergraduate Student
• Bachelor or Associates degree seeking, 2.75 – 2.99 High School GPA (Final)
• Sylvania Campus only
• Completed FAFSA process recommended

Community Award

Award:

$500 per semester for one academic year, or 2 semesters

Criteria:

• Part-time, New to Lourdes University
• Enrolled at least six credit hours and maintain part-time enrollment
• Complete FAFSA process recommended
• No GPA requirement

Other Scholarships for High School Seniors who will Attend College in 2013-14

Scholarships can come from a variety of different resources, and don’t need to be repaid. Some scholarships are offered by private donors and require the application to be completed while the student is in his or her senior year of high school. Review the opportunities below; you may be just an application away from more college dollars.

Toledo Community Foundation Scholarships

• The Toledo Community Foundation manages nearly 100 scholarship funds. Through the generosity of many families and individuals, scholarships are awarded on an annual basis from philanthropic funds which have been established with the Toledo Community Foundation. These awards assist local students in their pursuit of higher education. Visit the Toledo Community Foundation to review the many scholarships offered.

National Catholic College Admission Association Scholarships

• The National CCAA will award seven $1000 one-time scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors who will be attending one of The National CCAA member institutions. Lourdes University is a participating member of the National CCAA. These awards were created in an effort to assist students in pursuing a Catholic higher education. Details and the application for the scholarship will be available in February 2013, so please check back or visit http://www.catholiccollegesonline.org
