Multicultural Scholarship Opportunity

A multicultural perspective explores various aspects of individuals, groups and communities. Students that receive this scholarship will be expected to explore cultural competency and what that means for society as a whole through programming, lectures, community involvement and dinner discussions. The culminating travel experience will allow students the opportunity to reflect on their time at Lourdes and how to promote the Franciscan tradition after graduation.

Through the generous funding of the O-I Charities Foundation, students new to Lourdes University have the opportunity to apply for the O-I Endowed Multicultural Student Services Scholarship. This annual scholarship not only assists students in their efforts to attend Lourdes, but it also allows them to continue their learning through service learning projects developed by the faculty mentor, educational programing each year and an exciting senior multicultural experience abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:

New to Lourdes students
Full-time, degree seeking student in good academic standing at Lourdes, minimum GPA of 3.0. Must maintain a Lourdes cumulative GPA of 2.75 in order to maintain the scholarship annually.
Submit a 500 word essay to the Dean of Enrollment detailing your multicultural experiences and service work
(2) Letters of recommendation.
Must fully complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process at Lourdes.
