2013-2014 Lourdes Scholarships for Transfer Students

Scholarships can come from a variety of different resources, and do not need to be repaid. Students transferring to Lourdes University for the first time may be eligible to apply for the following scholarships.

(Not available for summer semesters)

Transfer Student Merit Scholarships

Lourdes University offers internal scholarships for new transfer students who begin their full-time enrollment during the 2013-14 academic year. These scholarships will be automatically awarded to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Students must file the FAFSA in order to be considered for these scholarships. Award amounts vary based on transfer GPA as follows:

Level A - $4,500 Award:

• $2,250 per semester
• Transfer 28 or more credit hours to Lourdes
• 3.5 to 4.0 College GPA
• Renewable for six consecutive semesters if student:
  
  
  • Must maintain 3.5 GPA (minimum) and continuous full-time enrollment

Level B - $3,000 Award:

• $1,500 per semester
• Transfer 28 or more credit hours to Lourdes
• 3.0 to 3.49 College GPA
• Renewable for six consecutive semesters if student:
  
  
  • Must maintain 3.0 GPA (minimum) and continuous full-time enrollment

Level C - $2,000 Award:

• $1,000 per semester
• Transfer 28 or more credit hours to Lourdes
• 2.75 to 2.99 College GPA
• Renewable for six consecutive semesters if student:
  
  
  • Must maintain 2.75 GPA (minimum) and continuous full-time enrollment

Transfer Presidential Scholarship

Award:

• $7,000 per year, renewable with 3.0 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment
  (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Transfer 27 credit hours or less to Lourdes
• 3.5 or higher college GPA
• Full-time Transfer Undergraduate Student
• Bachelor Degree seeking only
• Sylvania campus students only
• Completing FAFSA recommended

Transfer Dean’s Scholarship

Award:

• $4,000 per year, renewable with 2.75 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment
  (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Transfer 27 credit hours or less to Lourdes
• Bachelor or Associate degree seeking, 3.0 – 3.49 college GPA
• Full-time Transfer Undergraduate Student
• Sylvania campus students only
• Completing FAFSA recommended

Transfer Faculty Scholarship

Award:

• $2,500 per year, renewable with 2.5 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment
  (8 semester limit)

Criteria:

• Transfer 27 credit hours or less to Lourdes
• Bachelor or Associate degree seeking, 2.75 – 2.99 college GPA
• Full-time Transfer Undergraduate Student
• Sylvania campus students only
• Completing FAFSA recommended

Lourdes University Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa are eligible. If you are a member, you must notify your Admissions Counselor. Full-time ($1,000) and Part-time ($500) student awards are available per academic year. Students must remain in good academic standing at the University (no minimum enrollment for Part-time students).

• File a FAFSA
• Be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
• Continuous enrollment required (full or part-time)
• Renewable for up to four semesters (not available in Summer)

Community Award

Award:

• $500 per semester for one academic year, or 2 semesters

Criteria:

• Part-time, New to Lourdes University
• Enrolled at least six credit hours and maintain part-time enrollment
• Complete FAFSA process
• No GPA requirement
