In her human resource management role for Dana Corporation, Precious is responsible for developing comprehensive staffing strategies, streamlining current processes, and implementing programs to ensure the best talent is hired. She also is the business partner for the HR function and supports all activities necessary to drive functional excellence.
In conjunction with her responsibilities at Dana, Precious is also a small business owner. Her childcare business Small Sprouts for Care and Learning, located in Oregon, OH, opened in 2013.
A native Toledoan, Precious came to Dana after building a respected career in both the human resource and leadership worlds at first BP Toledo Refinery and then at Emdeon. She also furthered her college education, earning her MBA from another university. Additionally, she is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and Toledo Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA).
"If I could offer any advice to students," says Precious, "I would recommend that you make and take the time to focus on your education. There are so many things requiring our attention on a daily basis and it can be very easy to shift priorities. I see life as both tactical and strategic. While the tactical decisions we make have an immediate impact, it's important to never lose focus on the long-term strategy."
