Student Activities

Mission

The department of student activities provides a variety of social opportunities that enrich the overall college experience and promotes student engagement. Participation in activities outside the classroom enhances personal growth, interpersonal relationships, and challenges students to broaden their consciousness of a diverse community.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will develop decision making, leadership, and team building skills.
2. Students will interact with other students and members within the campus community.
3. Students will gain understanding and appreciation of diverse populations through participation in various activities.

Student Recreation

Mission

The mission of the department of recreation is to provide a variety of recreational opportunities that enrich the overall college experience of students. Participation in these activities and programs encourages team building and leadership development, enhances personal growth and interpersonal relationships, and challenges students to broaden their consciousness of a diverse community.

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will develop good sportsmanship in competition.
2. Students will learn or improve their skills in various sports and games through their participation.
3. Students will gain understanding and appreciation of diverse populations through participation in various sports and games.
4. Students will improve their personal health and well being through participation in a class.
