2013 Alumnus of the Year - Anneke Godlewski
Each year, the Alumni Association presents the Alumnus of the Year award. The criteria for Alumnus of the Year is that the nominee demonstrates Lourdes' values of learning, reverence and service and that they are giving of their time, talent and treasure to support the mission of Lourdes University.
This year's recipient has been a huge asset to the Alumni Association. She has stepped up and filled in anywhere she can. She is an active member of the Business Branch, co-chairs the Activities Committee, serves on the Alumni Board and volunteers at all the Alumni Events. She was named the 2010 Business Alumnus of the Year.
This alumna is also very involved in the community. She is on the Board of Directors at Josina Lott and chairs their Development Committee and was integral in starting their 5k fundraiser, the Jog and Jaunt. She is the first Toledoan to graduate from both the Leadership Toledo Adult Program (2013) and Youth Leadership Toledo (2000), serve as the Student Board Member for LT's Board of Directors and also participate in their program, Youth In Philanthropy Encouraging Excellence. This year she was nominated for a Jefferson Award for the work she did in creating the Love for Lupe project as well as the Bikes for Kids program, which gave a deserving child a bicycle from Wersell's every week during the summer of 2009.
Congratulations Anneke and thank you for your service and commitment to Lourdes University!
