Career Services For Faculty & Staff

Career Services assists all current students and alumni in exploring satisfying career choices through programming, workshops, webinars, individual career consultations, and assessments. Faculty, Administrators, and staff play a fundamental role in the student experience, and we hope our continued collaboration with you will empower students to develop transferrable skills for student and work life.

Services Offered

Making satisfying career choices involves self-assessment, information gathering, and decision-making. The Career Services staff offers individual career consulting, workshops, and services designed to help students and alumni with career development needs. The staff can provide them with information about a wide variety of occupations, and help to explore internship and job opportunities.

Help writing recommendation letters

Request a presentation
If you are in need of supporting a Learning Outcome involving Career Development, or just need assistance to cover a class, then consider having Career Services come in to do a presentation. Please fill out the form and a Career Services representative will contact you to follow up with your request. (Presentations must be requested at least 1 week in advance and are subject to availability of staff.)

Myths About Career Services

Only seniors need to use Career Services

We assist freshman through seniors, graduate students, as well as alumni in their job or internship search.

Only business students can use the services offered by Career Services

Not all employers who visit campus are looking for business students, employers also look for students in liberal arts, education, science, and healthcare fields.

Only students who have a decided major can come to Career Services

Career Services staff can assist any student in choosing the right major for them.

Career Services can only help with job searching

While placing jobs is one service that we offer, we also provide resume critiques, mock interviews, internship placement, choosing a major, and self-assessments.

Career services is not available to alumni

All services are free for any current student or alumni of Lourdes University.

Internships are only for juniors and seniors

Internships are for any year from freshman to senior, many employers are interested in hiring freshman and sophomore interns.

Career Services cannot help with graduate school applications

Career Services can help with every stage of application to graduate school.
