We are excited to be approaching our sixth year with residential students! Lourdes Commons Student Housing currently includes six residence halls with a capacity to house up to 399 students. We are now searching for bright and energetic leaders to act as Resident Assistants (RA). Each RA will serve as a part-time, student-staff member and will live in one of the residence halls in the Lourdes Commons..
Ensuring that residential students understand and comply with our Community Standards is an important role for our Resident Assistants, however, we feel that the most important duties an RA carries out encourage and support students in their academic and personal growth. The RA acts as a role model within their residential communities. An RA will work directly with student residents by fostering relationships and promoting awareness, appreciation and development of skills needed to succeed in a diverse, global society. Resident Assistants will also work closely with other Office of Residence Life staff to develop programs aimed at building a strong, close-knit community and assisting students in transitioning to college life and to living independently.
We will start accepting applications immediately. These will be available on the Office of Residence Life website as well as in the Office of Residence Life in the Den. Applications must be submitted no later than January 30, 2015.
- At least one year experience living in a residence hall
- Ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Full time student enrolled in a degree granting program.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. at time of application.
- Free of any Lourdes University Judicial Sanctions by January 30, 2015.
