We are excited to be approaching our fourth year with residential students! Lourdes Commons Student Housing currently includes five residence halls with a capacity to house up to 288 students. For the 2013-2014 academic year, this will grow even further! We are now searching for bright and energetic leaders to act as Resident Assistants (RA). Each RA will serve as a part-time, student-staff member and will live in one of the residence halls in the Lourdes Commons..

Enforcing university policies is an important role for an RA, however, we feel that the most important duties an RA carries out encourage and support students in their academic and personal growth. RAs act as role models within their residential communities. RAs work directly with student residents by fostering relationships and promoting awareness, appreciation and development of skills needed to succeed in a diverse, global society. RAs will also work closely with other Office of Residence Life staff to develop programs aimed at building a strong, close-knit community and assisting students in transitioning to college life and to living independently.

We will start accepting applications immediately. These will be available on the Office of Residence Life website as well as in the Office of Residence Life in the Den. Applications must be submitted no later than February 8, 2013.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience living in a residence hall
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population.
  • Full time student enrolled in a degree granting program.
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. at time of application.
  • Free of any Lourdes University Judicial Sanctions by January 14, 2013.
