Orientation Team Leaders
What is an Orientation Team Leader?
Orientation Team Leaders apply and interview at the end of the fall semester each year. An Orientation Team Leader also helps expose students to educational and social opportunities at Lourdes and helps to integrate new students into the life of the University.
Become an Orientation Team Leader!
Gain leadership skills while interacting with the new students at the first year student orientation. Look at what current Orientation Team Leaders have to say about their experience:
My orientation experience was an absolute blast! I didn't realize the friendships I would make in a single weekend would carry out through the rest of the year. My favorite part of my orientation experience was learning archery and canoeing at camp. It was amazing to start of my college journey in such an engaging way! I am excited to be an Orientation Team Leader this year and look forward to welcoming new friends into Lourdes University. I hope that the new [students] will have just as much fun as I did during my orientation weekend and cannot wait to start! - Taylor M., Class of 2016
My experience as an Orientation Team Leader has been incredible and very rewarding. Having the opportunity to make a direct impact on new students is a wonderful experience. During orientation week, I have the ability to help new students create life-long friendships and make them feel as comfortable as possible at Lourdes University. Orientation has given me a chance to further grasp my leadership skills and help create a memorable week for new students. I am looking forward to showing students what an amazing place Lourdes truly is and helping them create their own place in our exceptional community. - Zach B., Class of 2015
My experience as an Orientation Team Leader has been very rewarding. I love helping the new students feel comfortable during their transition from high school to college...My role as a leader is to answer any questions they may have about the school, including what our values mean, what class will be like, and how to get involved on campus. Also, I am here as a friend and someone they can come to if they need help or advice. For me, college has been filled with so many opportunities to grow individually and spiritually. I could not have done it on my own. I did it with the help of the Lourdes community. - Emily F., Class of 2015
