Orientation Team Leaders

What is an Orientation Team Leader?

Orientation Team Leaders apply and interview at the end of the fall semester each year. An Orientation Team Leader helps expose students to educational and social opportunities at Lourdes and helps to integrate new students into the life of the University.

Meet Your Orientation Team

Dorron ApplinDorron Applin:
I chose to attend Lourdes because of my visits I had here and the family environment evoked by staff. Here at Lourdes I am a part of Student Government and work for Information Technology.

Zach BabbZach Babb:
I chose Lourdes because of the small class sizes and because it is near home. I am a member of the baseball team.  My favorite parts about Lourdes are the people, my classmates, and professors.

Jordan BoyerJordan Boyer:
I chose Lourdes because of the small environment and to build relationship with my fellow students and with faculty. I chose to be an orientation leader because I want to be a better leader, gain experience for my future career choices and be a good role model to incoming students.

Mary Busse​Mary Busse:
I chose Lourdes because when I visited I felt so welcomed. It had such a warm and kind environment. My favorite part of Lourdes is the convenience of everything. The campus is not too big, so I don’t have to worry about rushing to the next class or getting lost. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I wanted to help incoming students feel welcome and help them adjust to the college life and atmosphere.

Brooke DiekmanBrooke Diekman:
I chose Lourdes because of the small classes and the close knit community. Here at Lourdes everyone knows your name and is friendly and welcoming. I chose to be an orientation leader to get to know more people. I also want to help make the best out of the freshmen’s first impression of the campus life.

Kaytlyn DowdenKaytlyn Dowden:
I am psychology major. I work for Lourdes Events Activities Planning (LEAP) and am an admissions ambassador, and just was picked to be a Residence Assistant. I am very involved here on campus. My favorite part about Lourdes is all the opportunities that student life offers.

Kayla Encalado:
I am studying psychology here at Lourdes.  I am a member of the softball team. I chose Lourdes because of the small class sizes and the athletic programs. My favorite thing about Lourdes is the supportive and family-like atmosphere. I decided to be an orientation leader because I want to help incoming freshmen relax, have fun and meet new people.

Ashley ErdAshley Erd:
My favorite about Lourdes are the family environment and the small class sizes. I am a twin. I decided to be an orientation leader because I enjoy getting involved and my orientation leaders helped me a lot and I want to do the same for the incoming freshmen.

Ashley FullenloveAshley Fullenlove:
I am a member of the cheerleading team here at Lourdes. I love living on campus with all my friends and I love being a part of the Cheer team. I have a pet hedgehog.

Chelsey Geis:
My favorite part about Lourdes is the family environment. Everyone here is so supportive and kind. I decided to be an orientation leader because of the personal orientation experience I had. My orientation leaders were amazing and so helpful. I want to be able to help the incoming freshmen and give them any advice they would need.

Sam GoodSam Good:
My favorite things about Lourdes are the people and welcoming atmosphere. Lourdes is home to me. I loved orientation my freshman year. I felt comfortable during my first week, and I want freshman to feel the same way. I hope the freshmen see me as a person they can come to for help and advice. I work at Harley Davidson.

Molly GreenMolly Green:
I am majoring in early childhood education. My favorite part about Lourdes University is the atmosphere. Everyone at Lourdes is so friendly and kind. It’s incredibly challenging to walk through the school without hearing a “hi, how are you?!” or seeing at least 5 friendly smiles on your way. There is always someone around that can help you. I can’t be in the school without being in a great mood. It’s the best. This will be my third year as an orientation leader

Breyahna Guy:
I play softball and I am a member of the Red Cross Club. I chose Lourdes because of the athletics and small class sizes.

Margaret JanigaMargaret Janiga:
Here at Lourdes I am a middle school education major concentrating in math and science. I am a part of the Red Cross club and SOUL. I am also a member of the women’s lacrosse team. I chose Lourdes because of the small community and the friendly environment.

Megan Jerome Megan Jerome:
I am from Barberton Ohio. I am a psychology major concentrating in occupational therapy. My favorite things about Lourdes are the friendly atmosphere and working in admissions as a Tour Guide.

Daja JonesDaja Jones:
I chose Lourdes because of the welcoming environment and the small classes. My favorite part about Lourdes is all the activities that are offered here. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I want to share my first year experience with the incoming freshmen and give them advice.

Garret JonesGarrett Jones:
Being part of Orientation has given me the chance to get involved on campus and better my college experience at Lourdes University. I have also had the chance to create many relationships with my fellow peers, factuality, and staff. The Orientation process has also allowed me to expand my abilities as a leader. I am very excited to be a part of the Orientation team this year and look forward to welcoming all of the new students.

Tabby JonesTabby Howell:
My favorite parts about Lourdes are the people and Sister Ann Carmen. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I want to meet new people and gain the experience.

Zach KalinoskiZach Kalinoski:
I chose Lourdes because of the class sizes and the opportunity to play baseball. I come from Marblehead, Ohio where I graduated with a class of 30 kids. I played both baseball and football in high school.

Chris KampshoffChris Kampshoff:
I am from Las Vegas, Nevada and a member of the men’s volleyball team. My favorite part of Lourdes is the small class sizes. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I wanted to give the incoming freshmen the same awesome experience I had as a freshmen.

Evan KinardEvan Kinard:
I chose Lourdes because I liked the small community and small class sizes. I am a member of the men’s volleyball team. My favorite part of Lourdes is the tight community we have. I decided to become an orientation leader because I wanted to help the freshmen like I was helped my freshmen year.

Natalie KrellNatalie Krell
I am an early childhood major. I chose Lourdes because I liked how the staff was so welcoming and the small class sizes. I wanted to be an orientation leader because I want to help the new students with starting a new chapter of their life.

I am the Student Government Vice President and a member of the baseball team. My favorite parts of Lourdes are the amazing people and the apartment-style dorms.

Lindsay LehmanLindsay Lehman:
I am an early childhood education major. I was a member of the golf team for the past four years. A fun fact about me is that I would rather golf barefoot than wear golf shoes. I picked Lourdes because of their high educational standards and goals. This is my third year being a part of the orientation team and my first year as an orientation team captain.

Ruben LopezRuben Lopez:
I am a majoring in biology. I chose Lourdes because I wanted the smaller classroom environment. My favorite part of Lourdes is that friendly and welcoming environment. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I wanted the experience and help the incoming freshmen.

I am a Biology major. I work in career services and Financial Aid. I am very involved and actively participate in Future Doctors of America, Student Government, Active Minds, and the Red Cross Club. Lourdes has been the best decision of my life. This is my third year as an orientation leader and it has been the single most enjoyable experience I am a part of!

Allison MazeyAllison Mazey:
I major in psychology.  This is my second year being an orientation leader and I love it! I participate in Future Doctors of America and in RHA.

Megan MosiniakMegan Mosiniak:
I am majoring in social work with a minor in business. I am a member of the women’s softball team and act as a peer mentor. My favorite part about Lourdes is the inviting and supportive atmosphere that is shaped throughout the University. Faculty, staff, and even peers, offer support whenever needed and put your success as a student, as a priority. It is difficult to walk around campus without someone greeting you and giving you a contagious smile.

Kevin O'BrienKevin O’Brien:
I am currently a junior studying business. I chose Lourdes because of the small classes, the friendly staff members, and the apartment-style dorms. My favorite part about Lourdes is the approachability of the staff and students. Lourdes makes you feel comfortable.

Emily OrsiniEmily Orsini:
I am the orientation intern.   I am a member of the LEAP staff, a peer mentor. I have been involved with the orientation team for the past three years and love it. My favorite thing about Lourdes is the family atmosphere. Everyone here is super supportive and kind.  Lourdes makes you feel at home.

Brittany PottsBrittany Potts:
I am an education major with a focus in middle childhood math and science. My favorite part about Lourdes the community atmosphere it provides. My nickname is Pottsy.

Brianna QuinonesBrianna Quinones:
I chose Lourdes because it is close to home, small class sizes and the nursing program. My favorite part about Lourdes is the sense of community. I chose to be an orientation leader because of my personal experience with orientation. I enjoyed it so much and I hope to give others the same experience.

Shaena Rabbani:
I chose Lourdes because if its small and welcoming community. I love how friendly and nice everyone is. I feel at home and very comfortable here. A fun fact about me is that I can speak 5 different languages.

Samantha RaySamantha Ray:
I chose Lourdes because I wanted to attend a small and personal school. My favorite things about Lourdes are being familiar with everyone and being in a warm environment. I just received an Residence Assistant position. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I enjoy working with small groups and helping other transition from high school into college.

CJ RilveriaCJ Rilveria:
I was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii. I am a member of the men’s volleyball team. My favorite part of Lourdes is that everyone is very friendly and the family atmosphere. I can speak Hawaiian, Pidgeon, and English. I wanted to be a part of the of orientation team because I loved it last year and wanted to be a part of the team again

Julian RiveraJulian Rivera:
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Austin, Texas when I graduated high school. I came to Lourdes to play on the men’s volleyball team. I love the family environment, small class sizes, and the great core values. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team, so I can meet new people and help others have a good first year at Lourdes University.

I chose Lourdes because of the environment. I am a junior and a nursing major. I am a member of the softball team. My favorite part about Lourdes is the apartment-style dorms. I decided to be an orientation leader because I want to be more involved.

I chose Lourdes because I loved the small community. My favorite part about Lourdes is the welcoming and tight knit community. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I want to be able to help the new students the same way past leaders had helped me.

Abby ScottAbby Scott:
I chose Lourdes to discover new people and a new area. My hometown is very small and I wanted to experience new things and be around a new atmosphere. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I want to be as helpful to the freshmen as my orientation leaders were to me.

I chose Lourdes because of the small community. I love walking down the halls and always seeing familiar faces. I am an early childhood education major. My favorite part about Lourdes is all the opportunities that are offered to us students. I am involved in Habitat for Humanity and am an Admissions Ambassador. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because my orientation experience was amazing, and I want to help the incoming freshmen experiences to be the same as mine.

Charity ShawCharity Shaw:
I decided to come to Lourdes because I live very close and it is a small school. I love the atmosphere here and the small class sizes. My favorite parts about Lourdes are the small class sizes and the friendly people.

Samantha ShirlingSamantha Shirling:
I chose Lourdes because of the good education programs, small class sizes and the athletic programs. I am a pre-nursing major, a member of the softball team and a member of Red Cross Club.

Cassidy SmithCassidy Smith:
I am an early childhood education major. My favorite things about Lourdes are the community atmosphere and the friendly and caring faculty and staff. An interesting fact is that I have a twin brother.

Nate SnowNate Snow:
I am from Tucson, Arizona. I am a member of the baseball team. The one thing I love about Lourdes is that the professors and willing to work with us students one-on-one. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team to show incoming students and parents a different prospective of the university and the community around it.

Daniel SteenDaniel Steen:
I am from Australia. My favorite parts about Lourdes are the friendly people and the athletic programs. I decided to be an orientation leader because I believe it will be a fun and exciting experience and I will be able to meet new people.

Tiffany SteinmetzTiffany Steinmetz:
I chose Lourdes because of the location and the small class sizes. My favorite parts about Lourdes are the professors and the people. I wanted to be a part of the orientation team because I want to become more involved like I was in high school.

I chose Lourdes because of the small class sizes and the friendly atmosphere. I am majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology.

Taylor TafelskiTaylor Tafelski
I am a member of the softball team. I chose Lourdes University because it is small and close to home. They are a lot about values, and that is a lot of who I am as a person, and I really loved that. I decided to be an orientation leader because I had such a great experience during my orientation and want to help the incoming students experience the same.

I chose Lourdes because of the community aspect of it. My favorite part about Lourdes is how friendly everyone is. Being here, I feel welcomed and comfortable. I decided to be an orientation leader because I enjoy welcoming the freshmen and showing them how great of a place Lourdes is.

Haley WhiteHaley White:
I chose Lourdes because it is close to home, the nursing program and the small community. My favorite things about Lourdes are the environment, the people and being able to interact and visit with the sisters daily.

Maura WolfordMaura Wolford:
I chose Lourdes because of the small class sizes and the family atmosphere. My major is business marketing. I work on campus in the Financial Aid office.
