To encourage student participation in the political process, support the Democratic Party, and develop leadership qualities among the Young Democrats at Lourdes.

Purpose:

Lourdes Young Democrats will be chartered with, and affiliated with the Ohio Young Democrats. By being affiliated with the Ohio Young Democrats, they will also be affiliated with the Young Democrats of America. This organization seeks to allow members the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills by coordinating events and fundraisers that support the Democratic Party. Members will work as close as possible with all levels of the Democratic Party, ranging from politics at the local level all the way to the national level.

Membership:

Membership requirements for the Lourdes Young Democrats will be the same as those of the Young Democrats of America, except that members must be students of Lourdes.

Elections of officers will be held at the first meeting in February of each year. All terms are for one year.

Meetings:

Lourdes Young Democrats meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month in the conference room across from the Ebeid Center. Active participation is encouraged among all members. Officers are required to attend meetings, and must give prior notification if unable to attend.
