Technology has also affected consumer access through which the way music is purchased. Social media has changed the way artists network, market and promote their music, and in most cases, artists actually promote themselves in today’s market.

The Evolution of Gaming

The trip to the gaming exhibit at the Toledo Museum of Art showcased thirty years of gaming technology from Pacman to Minecraft, and from Super Nintendo to Playstation 2. As part of the Gaming Society, we went and basically relived our childhood through videogames. I could remember playing Halo 2 as if it were yesterday.

Virtual Reality

The Gaming Society: Reborn enjoyed the trip to the Toledo Museum of Art for their special exhibit, the “Art of Videogames”. We loved the fact that the games were in order by the year they were produced, and the fact that you could play demos of certain games.

Toledo: Insight to the art scene

Uptown and Downtown Toledo joined together to hold their final Art Walk of the summer season. The Arts Commission of Toledo premiered these events during the second Thursday of each summer month. For three hours of these evenings, local artists display their work on street corners and inside storefronts of restaurants and artist galleries.
