Fun Facts: 

  • Infinite copyright of the King James Bible belongs to the British Crown 
  • It took 47 scholars, separated into 6 committees, 7 years to produce (1604 – 1611) 
  • While the King James Bible was not the first English translation of the Bible, it was the first to be printed in the United States (in 1782)
  • George Washington was sworn into his Presidency on a copy of the King James Bible, and the majority of the US Presidents since have also chosen to take their oath of office using the KJB 
  • The King James Bible is the best-selling Bible version of all time 
  • The King James Bible contains more than 788,000 total words, of which more than 12,000 are unique
