Just prior to Black Friday, the Lourdes University Social Science Club is inviting members of the community to explore the world of consumerism and its effects on the human condition during its “Coffee & Documentaries” installment on Wednesday, November 20. The event takes place in the lower level of St. Francis Hall on Wednesday, November 20 at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

A partnership between the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library (TLCPL) and Lourdes University is bringing a leisure reading collection to the school’s Duns Scotus Library. The collection, which consists of popular fiction and non-fiction books from authors such as Janet Evanovich, Phil Jackson, Stephen King, James Patterson, and Nora Roberts, is open to TLCPL library card holders and Lourdes University faculty, staff, and students.
The College of Business & Leadership at Lourdes University is pleased to announce a competitive new program for incoming freshman (fall 2014). The “Dean’s Scholars Program” will select an elite group of 25 new full-time students to participate in the program.
Lourdes University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program will be holding an inaugural oath ceremony on Tuesday September 24 in the Franciscan Center at 7:30 p.m. Lourdes President David Livingston, PhD, will serve as keynote speaker.
On Sunday, October 13, the Lourdes University Department of Music will present its Fall Music Showcase at 3 p.m. in the Franciscan Center. Lourdes faculty, students, choirs, string quartet, oboe and a special guest presenter will perform three mini-concerts of 45 minutes each with a snack buffet in between performances.
Celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the local Latino community at the 2013 Diamante Awards, hosted by Lourdes University. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 13 in the Franciscan Center.
Beginning this semester, five new faculty will join the Lourdes University community in the areas of biology, business administration and leadership, history, and nursing.
Lourdes University has welcomed 2,343 students to campus this semester. This is a decrease of 10% from the institution’s previous fall enrollment of 2,621 and directly reflects a boldly readjusted goal designed to meet downward enrollment trends in higher education.
