On Sunday, October 13, the Lourdes University Department of Music will present its Fall Music Showcase at 3 p.m. in the Franciscan Center. Lourdes faculty, students, choirs, string quartet, oboe and a special guest presenter will perform three mini-concerts of 45 minutes each with a snack buffet in between performances.

Celebrate and honor the accomplishments of the local Latino community at the 2013 Diamante Awards, hosted by Lourdes University. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 13 in the Franciscan Center.
Celebrate and honor the accomplishments of a local Latino/Latina by nominating him or her for the 2013 Diamante Awards. Past recipients have included Adelante Latino & Community Resources Center, Ohio Senator Teresa Fedor, and Toledo Fire Chief Luis Santiago. Nominations open now through August 4, in the following five categories:
Each year, on the first Friday in June, members of the Toledo-area community Hit the Links for Lourdes University students. Sponsored by MT Business Technologies/RICOH this year’s outing included 44 teams of golfers who raised more than $25,000.
Saturday, May 18, marks Lourdes University’s 2013 Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies. Baccalaureate will be held in the Queen of Peace Chapel on Lourdes’ campus at 10 a.m. Commencement will take place at the SeaGate Convention Centre located at 401 Jefferson Avenue, in downtown Toledo at 1 p.m.
Last Saturday, Lourdes’ Franciscan Theatre & Conference center was glowing with the more than 530 guests who came out to celebrate higher education and raise funds for student scholarships. Honorary Chairs Susan and Allan Block, and Lourdes Interim President Dr. Janet Robinson and husband Dr. Gene Robinson welcomed guests as they arrived.
This June, The National Association of Community and Restorative Justice will bring together faith leaders, educators, judges, politicians, policy makers, practitioners and community members to explore the use of restorative justice principles and practices in today’s world.
On Saturday, April 27, business leaders and members of the community will gather for Lourdes University’s signature fundraising event, Luminations. Allan and Susan Block will serve as Honorary Chairs for the event, which takes place in the Franciscan Center.
Connect with leaders in the Toledo-area community and discuss the vocation of business and principled leadership during Lourdes University’s inaugural Joseph M. Magliochetti Leadership Summit. The event will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 11:30 a.m. in the Toledo Club’s Belvedere Room.
