Lourdes University President Dr. David J. Livingston is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Trustees – Alan Brass, Cindy Dana, Daniel Ibele, and Larry Ulrich. Their terms on the Board will begin July 1, 2013.

BrassAlan Brass has just recently retired as CEO of ProMedica, one of the largest and fastest growing healthcare systems in the Midwest. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Children’s Miracle Network, Lake Erie Health Alliance, and the Toledo Symphony.

Born and raised in Youngstown, OH; Mr. Brass earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Youngstown State University. He then continued his education at The Ohio State University where he received his master’s in hospital and health services administration and finance. Prior to his role at ProMedica, Mr. Brass served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at BJC Health Systems and as President of the Missouri Baptist Medical Center.

Cindy DanaCindy Dana is currently working at her company Eaves & Ivy razing old barns in Northwest Ohio to repurpose the lumber and hardware into new furniture and architectural elements. She attended Colby College in Waterville, ME, where she double majored and received her bachelor’s degree in government and administrative  science.

She began her professional career as a paralegal specializing in real estate law and went on to establish the very first title company in Berkshire County which she owned and operated until selling it in 1990. After “retiring” to have children, she affiliated herself primarily with organizations that promoted the health, welfare, and empowerment of girls and women. She has been on the Board of Trustees for United Way of Greater Toledo and Girl Scouts in both Toledo and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Daniel IbeleDaniel Ibele started his career working at Libbey Inc. as a Sales & Marketing employee, and has been serving as a corporate officer since 1997. He became Libbey’s Vice President of Marketing and Special Operations, and eventually acquired the position of Vice President and General Manager of the U.S. & Canadian Business Region; where he currently takes full responsibility of P&L for the largest region within the company.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Adrian College in Adrian, MI. Mr. Ibele has served on the Board of Directors for the Jamie Farr LPGA and the Kidney Foundation.

Larry UlrichLarry Ulrich is the owner of LDU Enterprises which provides consulting services to the consumer credit reporting and collection industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Toledo and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971.

One of Mr. Ulrich’s greatest achievements has been the extensive work he’s done overseas establishing credit bureaus. He has been President of the Toledo Club, Treasurer of Toledo Northwest Ohio Food Bank, and board member of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Having already served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Lourdes from 2006-2008, Mr. Ulrich is welcomed back in 2013.
