New Email System Goes Live Aug. 17
Lourdes students will be migrating to a new email system called Microsoft Live. This new system gives students access to a 10GB free lifetime email account and a 25GB online storage solution. Students will be able to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint through their own SkyDrive on any computer that has internet access. Visit www.lourdes.edu/email to learn more!
- What do you have to do to access your new email account?
Log into the Lourdes portal and click on the Email icon, which will redirect you to your new email account.
- Do I have a new email address?
Yes. Your new email address will be firstname.lastname@mymail.lourdes.edu (if someone sends an email to your old email address, it will be directed to your new address).
- What do I have to do to save emails from my current student email account?
Nothing! All your folders and emails will be migrated over automatically, However, if you have anything stored in your calendar or contacts, you will need to save them as these will not be moved automatically.

Where do I go to access my student email?
Log into the Portal, then select Email (or simply visit https://outlook.com)

What is my login (username)?
Your login is your full first name and full last name with a period between them. Example: Jane Doe would have a username of jane.doe NOTE: There is a maximum of 20 characters in the username and the period between your first and last name counts as a character. (Ex., If your name is Alisa Williamson-Smith, your username would be: alisa.williamson-smi).

What is my password?
Your password is the first four digits of your birthday (MMDD) and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. If you do not have a SSN, you will need to contact the ITC Helpdesk at 419-824-3807 to have a password assigned to you. Example: My birthday is January 3, 1964 (0103) and my social security number is 123-45-6789 (6789). Therefore, my password is 01036789.

What is my email address?
Your email address is your firstname.lastname with @students.lourdes.edu added to it. Example: Jane Doe’s email address would be jane.doe@mymail.lourdes.edu; Alisa Williamson-Smith's email address would be alisa.williamson-smith@students.lourdes.edu

What is Web for Students?
It is the location where students can find schedules, grades, classroom assignments, transcripts and other important information about charges and payments.

Where is it?
Click the Email link in the top menu, then Web for Students.

What is my User ID?
Your student ID number is the 9000 number that appears on your ID.

What is my PIN?
Your PIN is your birth date in MMDDYY format (ex. birth date is January 3, 1964 so PIN is 010364)

Where do I get it? Go to the Welcome Center located in Mother Adelaide Hall (MAH).

Why do I need one? Your Student ID has your student ID number, which you can use to access Web for Students. You will also need your ID to use the Library, Bookstore, and the WIN Center.
