Center for Professional Studies

This resource center offers technology and staff experts to help education majors achieve their professional goals. Students take advantage of preparation and technology workshops and tutoring, success plan assistance, and career/professional preparation.

Summer Science Camps

The Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences and the Lourdes University Center for Science Education and the Environment offer young scientists annual summer camps. Education, Biology and Environmental Science students assist in teaching these talented young scientists.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Social Work program is to educate baccalaureate social work students and to provide the knowledge, values and skills necessary to engage in generalist social work practice.  Through a liberal arts education based in the Franciscan tradition, graduates of the program are prepared to:

  • Engage in critical thinking that includes examination of his/her personal values
  • Advocate for human rights and social justice
  • Commit to professional growth and development
