Health care facilities, social service organizations, correctional institutions and residential care facilities often employ Pastoral Counselors to provide psychological and spiritual guidance to patients and their families. With a strong psychology and theology background, pastoral counselors can deliver religious rites, conduct religious masses, provide counseling, and work closely with medical staff to insure the physical and emotional needs of patients are met.
High achieving students pursuing a Pre-Pastoral Counseling concentration can choose to apply for membership as a Dean’s Scholar or Honors Program candidate.
