On behalf of Lourdes University and the College of Business and Leadership, I am pleased to share more information about our Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program.

As a MBA candidate, you can choose the program that best fits your schedule. The MBA program can be completed in as little as 12 months in the full-time program or within 18-24 months through the part-time program.

Both programs offer MBA candidates a personalized course of study with flexibility in course delivery. Depending on your program, classes may meet one night a week, be hybrid or offered online.

MBA candidates can choose to participate in either a global or professional immersion experience. The global immersion allows MBA candidates to explore problems of international business, question assumptions and gain the skills to test those assumptions through site visits to international Fortune 500 companies in locations such as Brazil, China, Italy and South Africa. The professional Immersion enables MBA candidates to pursue an interested career pathway that provides direct involvement within a business environment, through consulting, sales or an entrepreneurial experience.

The Lourdes MBA program is competitively priced. Tuition is $770 per credit hour.

Applicants seeking regular admission to the Graduate School must complete the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • Request official college transcripts and have them sent to the Graduate School
  • Complete and submit the Graduate Application for Admission
  • Submit a current resume and statement of purpose
  • Provide the names and contact information for three professional references
  • Complete a satisfactory interview with the MBA Admissions Committee if the cumulative GPA is below 2.75

In addition to admissions requirements for the Graduate School, the following are required for admission to the M.B.A. program:

Any earned bachelor degree from an accredited university or college at the time of application.  In addition, applicants must have sixty credit hours, with a grade of C [2.0] or better, of undergraduate business coursework (or the equivalent) within the majority of the following core content areas:   Accounting, Economics, Ethics, Finance, Legal Environment, Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Analysis and Statistics or Calculus in order to have all of the MBA foundational content courses waived.

Admitted applicants with less than sixty credit hours, with a grade of C [2.0] or better, of undergraduate business coursework (or the equivalent) must take the M.B.A. foundational content courses at the graduate level.  The M.B.A. program will not accept credit for equivalent classes taken at the undergraduate level once an applicant has been admitted.

Applicants must also complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) and submit scores from an exam taken within the past five years.  An overall score of 470 or greater is preferred.  Alternatively, applicants may submit scores from a completed GRE exam within the past five years.  An overall score of 300 or greater is preferred.

There is still room available in the MBA program that begins January 9, 2017.

You still have time to enroll in the May 2017 or August 2017 cohort, with limited seats available.
