Becky Tobias, Program Coordinator of Student Activities & Recreation, traveled with 11 Student Orientation Leaders to a national conference in Milwaukee, WI during Spring semester.

Attendees learned about their roles as student leaders, peer mentors, student ambassadors and how they can make a difference through community service. Kelly Everett, Orientation Committee Member and an Administrative Assistant for the Franciscan Center, accompanied the group to the conference.

Upon their return, the students shared their comments about the conference with each other. Annessa Stahler (Early Childhood Education) noted, "I learned that there are many different kinds of leaders and leadership comes in many styles. I learned to appreciate and accept the different types of leadership and how to enhance my own leadership skills."
