The coming of spring brings new life and growth to our world. This same vibrancy can be found on the Lourdes campus too.

This spring, the institution will conduct a search for two part-time athletics coaches who will establish and recruit for our first-ever National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men's basketball and women's volleyball teams.

Our students are excited about the new and expanded programming at Lourdes. We have received requests from students for a cheerleading squad and a pep band. It is truly exciting to see so many new initiatives, requested by students, that continue to bring energy and excitement to our campus.

Also this semester, Lourdes expanded its alumni office with the creation of a full-time position for an Alumni Relations Officer. In her position, Shannon Polz has begun to help develop a career coaching and mentoring program and to implement an alumni events program.

On behalf of the Lourdes College community, we look forward to partnering with you and celebrating our achievements as Lourdes continues to strengthen our academic and student life programs.

One final thought – please remember to mark your calendar for the 2010-11 athletic season at Lourdes. Go Gray Wolves!

Sincerely,
Robert C. Helmer, PhD, JD
