This edition of AtLourdes magazine celebrates a select group of alumni, students and friends who are making a remarkable contribution to society. The Lourdes Super Heroes named to the League of Extraordinary Gray Wolves were nominated by their academic chairs and advisors for performing remarkable tasks and services in their chosen profession as well as in their community.
Additional super heroes making a significant contribution this semester include:
- Two Habitat for Humanity Campus Ministry Outreach groups building homes for families in substandard housing in Prattville, AL and Maryville, TN
- Collaborative trip with Lourdes and Siena Heights University students assisting the St. John Bosco Home for Boys, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, in Manchester Parish, Jamaica
- Students helping the Franciscans of the Poor program to live out the Gospel message of justice through outreach to the poor and underserved in Cincinnati, OH
In the coming months, the Lourdes Community will once again gather to celebrate our students' accomplishments at the annual Research & College Symposium and Awards Ceremony. In May, we will welcome our newest alumni members at Commencement. I encourage you to attend and review all upcoming events.
