In addition to a host of annual lectures, events, and activities held throughout Lourdes campus, there were several new announcements and initiatives that took place last fall.

Community gathers for first Lourdes/Livingston Christmas

Lourdes President David Livingston, PhD and his family helped spread Christmas cheer throughout campus and the community during a series of holiday events.

Dr. Livingston and Joan hosted a community Christmas party at their home for friends of the University, a gathering for the Lourdes community in the Duns Scotus Library and joined the annual "Sharing the Spirit" Christmas potluck (hosted by Mission & Ministry) in the Franciscan Center.

Leisure book collection offered through new partnership

A partnership between the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library (TLCPL) and Lourdes University brought a leisure reading collection to the school's Duns Scotus Library.

Launched in November, the collection, which consists of popular fiction and non-fiction books from authors such as Janet Evanovich, Phil Jackson, Stephen King, James Patterson and Nora Roberts, is open to TLCPL library card holders and Lourdes University faculty, staff and students.

The collection will be available for checkout each semester. To view the list of books, visit the Leisure Books for U kiosk in the Duns Scotus Library.
