For me, no other season is as beautiful and amazing on campus than autumn. The beginning of the academic year brings with it our newest students, returning students, faculty and of course, the changing colors of the leaves.
This year was even more exciting as we welcomed our first residential students during Welcome Weekend and brought the entire Lourdes Community together to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year at our annual Convocation ceremony. Now that the academic year is under way, activities and opportunities abound for both our commuter and residential students.
We are pleased to welcome all of our new faculty and staff members. As enrollment continues to grow, so too does the need for exceptional faculty. This fall, the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Professional Studies and Nursing have expanded their programs with the addition of new faculty or enhanced the roles of returning faculty. The department of Business & Leadership Studies also launched a new Integrated Business major that allows students to tailor their degree to match their specific business needs.
In August, the inaugural Gray Wolves Women's Volleyball Team held their first home opener and our Men's Basketball Team will follow suit on Tuesday, November 23. The excitement and energy of the athletic season is tremendous. If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to attend our home games and meet up with friends, fellow alumni and faculty and staff.
Go Gray Wolves!
