Terry earned his BA from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. He later went on to earn his MSW from Saint Louis University and MBA from Webster University. He has his PhD in Social Work from Michigan State University. During his time at Michigan State he began his research interest focusing on Fatherhood and Attachment.

Terry’s clinical experience started in community mental health doing a variety of individual, family, and group work. He also gained administrative experience in the mental health setting. Terry has also worked for a regional insurance provider in utilization review of mental health services.

Since arriving at Lourdes University, Terry designed, implemented and successfully managed the University’s Ireland experience that is now sending undergraduate and graduate students overseas. Terry also played a significant role in developing the partnership MSW program with Saint Louis University. On campus he serves in many roles and continues to work on initiatives to grow the College of Education and Human Services. He also serves as a member of the Summerfield Community Recreation Board and works with the International Association of Attachment based in Italy.
