Provide services to students, faculty, staff, the Sisters of St. Francis, and the local community, and strive to help the institution fulfill its Mission by complementing all Lourdes University programs with resources and services.
Duns Scotus Library, built in 1949-1950, was named for the 13th century Franciscan scholar, John Duns Scotus. It houses a collection of over 60,000 volumes and a periodical collection of over 128 current titles. A collection of dated periodicals comprising of approximately 9,000 volumes is located in the library storage basement. More than 350 art pieces decorate the library and are fully cataloged in the on-line catalog. Since April 2002, Lourdes is a member of the OPAL/OhioLINK, a consortium of colleges and universities sharing their library resources electronically.
