The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA) contains numerous federal reporting and disclosure requirements for information from various administrative areas of higher education institutions. In order to make this information readily available, Lourdes University has created this webpage which is designed to provide quick access to this data.

Student Achievement

RETENTION RATES

Lourdes University welcomes each fall semester a new group of students starting their first full-time and first part-time college experience seeking a degree. These are Lourdes University’s first-time full-time and first-time part-time students. In the subsequent fall semester one year later, the University determines the percent of these students who have returned. These are our retention rates.

From fall 2022 to fall 2023

  • An average of 69% of first-time, full-time students returned for their second year compared to a 73% national average.
  • An average of 50% of first-time, part-time students returned for their second year compared to a 44% national average.

 

GRADUATION RATES

Lourdes University measures the graduation rate of full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates within 150% of normal time to program completion. These are our graduation rates.

Fall 2015 cohort

  • 58% of first-time, full-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates who graduated compared to a 55% national average.

GRADUATION RATES – TYPE OF AID

Lourdes University measures the graduation rate of full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates within 150% of normal time to program completion by type of aid. These are our graduation rates by type of aid.

Fall 2015 cohort

  • 45% of first-time, full-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates who were awarded a Pell Grant upon entry graduated compared to a 49% national average.
  • 70% of first-time, full-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates who were awarded a Stafford Loan upon entry graduated compared to a 57% national average.
  • 63% of first-time, full-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates who were neither awarded a Pell Grant or a Stafford Loan upon entry graduated compared to a 62% national average.

 

TIME TO PROGRAM COMPLETION RATES – 4, 6, AND 8 YEARS

Lourdes University measures the time to program completion of full-time, first-time bachelor’s degree-seeking undergraduates within 4, 6, and 8 years. These are our time to program completion rates.

Fall 2013 cohort

  • 26% of full-time, first-time bachelor’s degree-seeking undergraduates graduated within 4 years compared to a 43% national average.
  • 39% of full-time, first-time bachelor’s degree-seeking undergraduates graduated within 6 years compared to a 54% national average.
  • 41% of full-time, first-time bachelor’s degree-seeking undergraduates graduated within 8 years compared to a 54% national average.

 

SOCIAL MOBILITY RATE

US News & World Report ranks Lourdes University #6 as a 2022-2023 Top Performer on Social Mobility among 166 regional universities in the Midwest.

Many students face challenges as they start their college journeys. Those who receive Pell grants are especially at risk of not completing their degrees.

Approximately half of Lourdes graduates are eligible for Pell grants at the time they walk across the stage at commencement.

 

JOB PLACEMENT RATE

From 2017 through 2022, Lourdes University has a 99% career/graduate school placement rate within one year of graduation. This data is based on students responding to an annual first destination survey.
