Transferring Stock

There may be significant tax advantages from contributing appreciated securities transferred to the University as a charitable gift. The value of your gift depends upon the market price of these assets when they are given. You should always contact your financial advisor for professional advice regarding charitable contributions of securities. The easiest way to give stock is to transfer the stock from your brokerage account to Lourdes University’s brokerage account. If your brokerage house does not have an account for Lourdes University, the stock should be transferred to the University's account. Please call Mary Arquette, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, at 419-824-3969.
