Geoffrey Grubb, Ph.D.
As University Provost, Dr. Geoffrey J. Grubb bears responsibility for teaching and learning at Lourdes University. Having served in various capacities at Lourdes for nearly three decades, Dr. Grubb is deeply committed to its mission, students, faculty and staff.
In his career he has been involved in teaching, curriculum development, recruitment of and support for faculty and staff, general education, faculty development, fostering collaboration among academic departments and more.
A Toledo native, Dr. Grubb was awarded a master’s degree by The Catholic University of America, as well as a A.B. and Ph.D. at Saint Louis University, where he was named to Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Sigma Nu. His field of study is historical theology with a special interest in both sacramental theology and the Reformation era.
He has served Lourdes as Professor of Theological Studies and chair of the Department of Religious Studies, as Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Grubb is a recipient of the Lourdes Faculty Excellence Award and was inducted into the Order of the Celtic Cross by Toledo Central Catholic High School.
