MBA Graduate Assistantships & Scholarship

The MBA Program awards graduate assistantships that include a stipend for working for approximately 10 hours per week during the 2014–2015 academic year. MBA Assistantships include actively participating in the full-time MBA program and a work assignment such as: collaborating with College of Business and Leadership faculty and staff in preparing for International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accreditation; serving as a Resource Specialist for undergraduate business students in the Lourdes University Center for Professional Studies; or working on resource development for the College of Business and Leadership.

To be eligible for consideration for an assistantship, candidates must

  • Be admitted to the Fall 2014 full-time MBA program 
  • Submit their Intent to Enroll form to the Graduate School 
  • Complete an MBA Graduate Assistantship Application (below) in its entirety and submit it to the Graduate School.

Additionally, the MBA program competitively awards scholarships for up to ½ of the tuition for the entire program.

All awards will be made on a rolling basis, beginning April 1, 2014.

Tuition Scholarships
Scholarships are purely financial awards made by Lourdes University to help exceptional students meet their educational expenses. When making award decisions, the Graduate School reviews the submitted assistance application in consultation with the MBA and MOL Program Directors. Tuition scholarships are available up to $7,000 for those within the full-time programs and $3,500 for those within the part-time programs.

Graduate Assistantships
Lourdes University Graduate Assistantships, which offer more than financial assistance, are structured to foster long-term career mentoring relationships with the College of Business & Leadership or in the Office of Student Affairs. The MBA full-time one-year program awards year-long graduate assistantships that includes a stipend/wage in the amount of $8,000 during the 2015-16 academic year. All Graduate Assistantships requires an average of 16 to 24 hours per week during the academic year (Late August through Mid-July) when classes are in session. The normal working hours will be Monday thru Friday, primarily during the afternoon hours.

Graduate Housing
In support of attracting talented, diverse candidates who have demonstrated outstanding leadership as well as academic and extracurricular achievements from around the world, Lourdes University provides limited graduate housing support. Housing scholarships are available on a limited basis and are valued up to $5,000, with the requirement that the student serves as a resident director for the academic year.
