The course is instructed by both faculty and professional staff and is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. Gubi – Gray Wolf Mascot

In the fall of 2007, Lourdes adopted the Gray Wolf as its official mascot. Gubi, as the Gray Wolf is affectionately known, attends many activities on and off campus, most notably the home athletic games.

Meet Gubi (video)

Gubi’s history
During St. Francis of Assisi’s lifetime, he learned of a wolf who had been terrorizing the people of Gubbio, Italy. He intervened and made peace with the wolf. Francis and the animal returned to the town and struck a pact with them. The townspeople would feed and care for the wolf and the wolf would no longer terrorize them. When the wolf finally died of old age, the townspeople mourned for him because he had reminded them of the goodness of St. Francis.
