How to Apply as a Transfer Student:

Schedule a time to visit campus and meet with an Admissions Coordinator

Apply for Undergraduate Admission (please answer all questions thoroughly)

Send your required supplemental items to:

  • Lourdes University Undergraduate Admissions

  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges or universities attended (students must disclose all prior college experience). Transcripts are required, even if you started a course but did not complete it
  • Official high school transcripts or GED with scores if you graduated high school in the year 2012 or after, or if you have earned less than 12 college credits
  • Explanation letter recommended if your cumulative college GPA is less than 2.5
    • In 500 words or less, please explain your academic record and your plan to improve at Lourdes University
    • E-mail your explanation letter directly to your assigned Admissions Coordinator (last names A through L, send to Amy Houston at; last names M through Z, send to Erin Harper at

Add Lourdes University to your FAFSA. Click on 'Add a School' and enter our school code: 003069

Wait for your official decision letter in the mail. We will send your official decision letter to the permanent address listed on your application.

Review your Financial Aid Package and accept or deny your awards. If you have specific questions about Financial Aid, you can reach the office directly at 419-824-3732.

Meet with Advising to design your plan of study and register for classes (As a new transfer student, you must meet with an Academic Advisor to schedule your classes) Please call 419-824-3882 to schedule an appointment.

Complete your online orientation—you will receive an invitation in the mail after you register for classes.

If you interested in living on campus, check out our apartment-style residence halls and fill out a housing application.

Finally, send your official, finalized transcripts to Undergraduate Admissions if you applied with in-progress work. You will not be able to register for subsequent semesters without official, finalized transcripts.
