Lourdes is proud to offer a variety of outreach programs for the entire community, including:

  • Appold Planetarium: featuring real-time 3D sky simulation, fulldome shows and multi-media presentations, the Appold Planetarium enriches Lourdes’ science classes. The community is invited to public shows that educate and entertain visitors of all ages. School groups, scouts, and other private groups are invited to schedule shows in the planetarium.
  • Lifelong Learning: established to meet the needs of adult learners, Lifelong Learning offers classes in a wide variety of academic subjects as well as field trips to places of educational interest.
  • Parent Institute:The Parent Initiative Advisory Committee includes a group of community leaders, educators, and Lourdes University faculty and administration committed to developing programs and coordinating events that celebrate and advance the role of parents in their children’s lives.
  • S.A.V.E.  is a non-profit  501  C (3)  organization that is a catalyst for individual and community action for sustainability. It fosters a personal awareness and respect for the interconnecting of ecology, spirituality and sustainability.  Free public lectures, newsletters, awards and science camps are some of the actions we offer to empower  others to action.

 

Mission & Ministry

Mission & Ministry helps to translate our Catholic and Franciscan traditions and values into campus life. It invites the Lourdes community to participate in activities that focus on spiritual formation, social interaction, and service opportunities.
