Lourdes University’s College of Social Sciences invites applicants for the position of
Assistant/Associate Professor of Education with a required emphasis in educational administration.
This is a full-time, nine-month, faculty position beginning in the Fall of 2022.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the educational administration major as well as other education courses. Faculty load is 4 courses per semester in face to face, hybrid or online academic format. This position requires a dynamic classroom presence and be versed in multimodal teaching.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Student recruitment and retention efforts, curriculum development, assessment, supervision of internships and/or capstone projects, academic advising, and participation in a minimum of one faculty and/or university committee.
- The position requires curricular leadership in determining the specific educational principles the program must achieve through established curriculum and classroom instruction ensures the curriculum design is consistent with best practices and industry standards.
- The candidate will be required to teach a range of courses in the educational administration and education major as well as identify and implement potential internships.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to work with first generation students and provide guidance and advisement of students on academics and career development.
- Dedication to the mission of Lourdes University, evidence of excellence in teaching and potential for significant scholarship and/or demonstrated experience in a professional role are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in educational administration required (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred)
- Professional experience in educational administration is preferred.
- teaching experience and varied scholarly activity will be given preference. Teaching: 1 year (Required)
