Franciscan Center at Lourdes University

The Leadership Summit is in honor of Joseph M. Magliochetti, former chairman and CEO of the Dana Corporation, whose family provided the Endowed Chair of Business & Finance for Lourdes University. The event features a seated lunch, networking opportunities, and remarks from our 2022 guest speaker, Tammi Sherman, Vice President of Bitwise Industries Toledo.

Bitwise Industries is based in Fresno, CA and recently expanded to Toledo. Bitwise is a company laser-focused on connecting humans from marginalized communities and stories of systemic poverty to skills and resources necessary to access opportunities in the tech industry.. It is one of the largest tech apprenticeship providers in the country. The company’s mission is to ignite a revolution – not just of technology, but of self-imposed limitations.

As the new VP of Bitwise Toledo, Tammi Sherman collaborates with key partners such as local government offices, corporations, foundations, and academic institutions to educate, build, and grow Toledo communities that are underserved and underrepresented.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Tammi started her career with Sam’s Club over 30 years ago—which quickly blossomed into a life-changing journey while attending the University of Toledo for Accounting. Tammi quickly excelled in the ranks in her previous role, and she’s ready to embark on a career in a tech community tasked to help educate and uplift the place where her journey began. Tammi holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree from National Louis University

All Summit proceeds benefit the Endowed Chair of Business & Finance, which helps to provide a values-centered education to Lourdes University Business majors.
