Endowed Chair and Professorships
Endowed Chair and Professorships are the highest honors that can be bestowed on a university professor. They are awarded in recognition of contributions to academic disciplines.
An Endowed Chair may provide funding to support the chair or professor’s teaching, research, service, and programs. It may also provide student scholarship assistance.
An Endowed Professorship is an academic appointment that is made possible fully or in part by the income of an endowment. The funds cover the faculty’s salary, research-related expenses and student scholarships.
