Hands-On Experience: At Lourdes University’s Nurse Camps, you won’t just hear about nursing; you’ll live it. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the basics of nursing practice through engaging, hands-on activities.
Professional Pathways: Explore the various career pathways within the field of nursing. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the many opportunities available to nurses, helping you uncover your unique path to a fulfilling and impactful career.
Fun and Learning: We believe that learning should be enjoyable, so we’ve designed our camps to be as fun as they are educational. You’ll have a blast while gaining valuable insights into the world of nursing.
Activities Include:
- Birthing Simulation: Experience the miracle of childbirth through our lifelike birthing simulation, where you’ll gain insight into the crucial role nurses play during this special moment in a family’s life.
- Room of Horrors: Step into our Room of Horrors, where you’ll face 25 nursing challenges, each designed to test your critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Can you identify and address the nursing “mistakes” hidden within?
- VR Surgeon Simulator: Explore the world of surgery through virtual reality simulations, providing you with a unique perspective on the vital role nurses play in the operating room.
- Safe Patient Handling Activity: Learn the essential skills of patient care and safe handling, a fundamental aspect of nursing practice.
